Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
Today you will arrive at the Delhi International Airport, where our executive will arrive at the traditional reception while receiving you and will also provide you the necessary support. After that, you will be taken to your hotel in a comfortable car. If you have time left that will depend on your flight, you can spend the rest of the time enjoying delicious local cuisine in the bustling markets nearby.
Day 02: Delhi - Amritsar by train
Today morning you will be transferred to the railway station from where you will take a train to Amritsar. On the way you will pass through many rural areas, then you will have a real vision of India. On reaching Amritsar, the driver will board you from the railway station and transfer you to your hotel. Amritsar is a major center of Sikhism and is famous for the Golden Temple. In the late afternoon, you will visit the Golden Temple and there you will also see the holy lake. You will be surprised to see the anchor of Amritsar gurudwara as millions of devotees are served free food here every day.
Day 03: Amritsar - Pragpur
This morning you will first visit the Golden Temple. Most of the devotees visit this temple in the morning and the gold-plated dome of the gurudwara in the morning light gives a different view. After this, you will travel towards the village called Pragpur in Kangra Valley. On the way, you will be able to see many rural areas of Punjab and Himachal where green fields are seen waving far and wide. Arriving soon in the evening, you will check your hotel. Pragpur village is an attractive settlement that has been given the status of Heritage Village by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The village is famous for its colorful painted houses and distinctive architecture of its kind. There is a pool situated in the central part of this village, around which this beautiful village is inhabited.
Day 04: Pragpur - Kangra (Cycling - 47kms)
This morning, after having breakfast, you will be cycling and travel towards Kangra. In this journey, as soon as you get out of Payagpur, you will pass over a 600-meter long bridge over the Beas river and see the beautiful view of the river valley on either side of the bridge. On the roads along here, you will pass through some uphill and downhill paths and see the lush green fields and mixed forests of the nearby Kangra valley. You will reach Kangra by noon and at that time you will go to visit Kangra Fort. This fort is associated with the ancient Trigarta Kingdom, whose ruler Katoch descendants still exist. This fort is the largest in the Himalayan region and also the oldest fort in India.
Day 05: Kangra - Dharamsala - Mcleodganj (Cycling - 47kms)
Today you will go biking from Kangra to McLeodganj. On this path, you will find many ascension, although the journey is not so long. On the way, you will also get to see beautiful views of some tea plantations. As you get closer to McLeodganj you get panoramic views of the white hills of Dhauladhar. McLeodganj was named after the British Lieutenant Governor Lord David McLeod when he was the Governor of Punjab during the British colonial period. In 1848, when it was hot in the plains of Punjab, they used to come to the place. This place came on the world map in 1959 when the Tibetan government in exile and the Dalai Lama arrived here. Before this, it used to be a small village of hill shepherds called Gaddis. After arriving here you will have enough time to upload this small town.
Day 06: Dharamshala- Andretta (Cycling 55 km)
Today you will be cycling from McLeodganj to the village of Andretta. To reach this village, you will use a quiet road network and will see many beautiful nature views on the way. This small Andretta village is a beautiful colony of pottery artists. The people here make pottery and have very beautiful carvings on them. The village was founded by Irish theater artist and environmentalist Noora Richards in 1920 when she shifted here from Lahore. The major attractions of this village are Norah's Center for Arts, Andretta Pottery and Craft Society, Norah's Mud House and Sir Sobha Singh Art Gallery.
Day 07: Andretta- Joginder Nagar (Cycling - 38 km)
Today you will travel your cycling from Andretta village to a place called Jogindernagar. On the way, you will pass through Palampur, a beautiful place. There are high Dhauladhar Mountains on one side and large tea gardens on the other side. Here, the toy train passes through the railway tracks made between beautiful gardens. After this, you will stay for some time in the Baijnath temple. This beautiful sculpted ancient temple was built in the 13th century and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. After this, continuing your journey, you will reach Joginder Nagar, a beautiful town.
Day 08: Joginder Nagar – Mandi (Cycling - 54kms)
Today you will be cycling from Joginder Nagar to Mandi Town Purnavirmaam This small Tha Town is very beautiful and at this place, Vyas river has the confluence of Uhal river and Suketi river. To enter this town you will pass over a beautiful ancient Victoria Bridge which is 142 years old. After checking into the hotel in Mandi, you can visit the beautiful temples present here. There are many ancient temples in Mandi Town and it is believed that there are around 81 temples of Lord Shiva here. Spend the evening in the Indira Market, a major attraction here.
Day 09: Mandi – Larji (Cycling - 49 km)
Today you will be cycling from Mandi to Larji. Today's route is comfortable and on the way, you will see many beautiful landscapes. On the way, you will pass over the Pandoh Dam and will be able to see the beautiful view of the extensive reservoir located here. Traveling further from here, you will see the beautiful Hanging Foot Bridge built on the Beas River and the Ropes river crossing. Here you will see high perpendicular slopes high above the Beas Darya along the road, whose height is more than 1 kilometer and you will see some high waterfalls. Walking ahead you will reach a place called Larji where you will be able to see a dam and a 3 km long tunnel through which the National Highway passes. Apart from this, you will also see a view of the terraced apple fields on the way.
Day 10: Larji – Shoja (Cycling - 32 km)
Today you will be cycling ahead of Larji to Shoja village. In this journey, you will reach the village named Banjar following the road adjacent to the river Teerthan. Here you will see beautiful shops made of wood in a row slaughter form. During this journey, you will pass through beautiful forests of deodar and oak forests. Here in Banjar, you will also see the pyramid-shaped Muralidhar temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Before reaching Shoja, you will take some travel while riding in the auxiliary vehicle and upon reaching Soja village, you will be checking in the guest house. Spend the rest of the time wandering in this beautiful charming village and meeting with the rural people. The villagers here are not used to meeting foreign visitors, but they will be eager to meet you.
Day 11: Shoja - Luhri (Cycling - 60 km)
Today you will be cycling from Shoja to Luhri and the route is a lot of climbing and jig jag. On the way, you will be cycling on the last climb near Jalori Pass which has a height of 3135 meters. From here you will see beautiful peaks of the Pir Panjal range nearby. Jalori Pass is an attractive place that has been awarded by the natural with very beautiful scenery and is also a famous tourist place. The path from here is sloping where you have to control the speed, especially on many turns. Finally, you reach near the Sutlej River where there is a place called Luhri. Here you will check-in the hotel and see the beautiful sunset by sitting on the bank of river Sutlej.
Day 12: Luhri – Narkhanda (Cycling - 37 km)
Today your cycling tour is going to be challenging once again. You will be cycling from Luhri to Narkanda and the route is mostly uphill. But there are so many beautiful views on this path that will remove your tiredness. During this climb, you will stop after every 1 hour so that the energy can be resumed to start climbing again. As soon as you reach Narkanda, you will be enchanted by seeing the landscape. The place is inhabited by Tibetans and you will also get an opportunity to see their beautiful culture.
Day 13: Narkhanda – Shimla (Cycling - 64 km)
Today, you will be cycling from Narkanda to Shimla. The route will be mostly sloping and there will be many turns too. Cycling on this path you will reach Shimla crossing many forests and rural areas. Shimla is a beautiful hill station that was developed during the British colonial period. It was the summer capital of India at that time. In the evening, you will go to the pedestrian street "The Mall Road" in Shimla and enjoy a tour of this beautiful market in the bustle of thousands of people there.
Day 14: Shimla – Pinjore (Toy train up to Kalka)
Shimla is a very beautiful hill station which is also known as the queen of mountains. In the morning you will enjoy a walk-in Shimla. After that in the afternoon, you will go to Shimla railway station and board the narrow gauge train going from there to Kalka. This railway line is a UNESCO heritage property and riding it is the best experience to see the wonders of nature. From here you will travel about 100 kilometers to Kalka and in this way, you will also cross more than 100 tunnels. After this beautiful journey, when you reach Kalka, you will be transferred from there to a hotel in Pinjore.
Day 15: Panjore- Delhi (By morning train from Kalka to Delhi)
This morning you will be transferred to Kalka railway station, located near Pinjore. From here you will take a train to Delhi. On reaching Delhi our representative will receive you and you will be transferred to the hotel in a comfortable car. If time allows, then you spend the rest of the time roaming around the local markets.
Day 16: Departure from Delhi
After having breakfast in the hotel you will be transferred to the international airport. From here you will be able to fly to your next destination. With this, your beautiful cycling adventure ends and we hope that you will once again return to India on a new beautiful adventure tour.
