Day 01: Arrive New Delhi
Today is your arrival in India and Delhi International Airport will welcome and assist our executive. After this, you will be transferred to the hotel. Delhi is a city in which people come from every corner of India and live here, it is a mixed form of different cultures. If you have some time left today, then spend it wandering in the beautiful and colorful markets nearby.
Day 02: Delhi - Leh (Ladakh) by Flight
This morning you will be transferred to Delhi Airport from where you will fly to Leh. During your flight, when you pass over the Himalayan Mountains, you will be able to see the beautiful view of the high snowy peaks of the Himalayas. You will first check-in the hotel by reaching Leh by 12:00 pm. Leh Ladakh is nothing less than a paradise for nature lovers, adventure lovers, Buddhist religious and culture travelers. The rest of the time you will spend sightseeing of Leh independently. During this period, you can visit the 17th century Leh Palace, Stoke Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Gompa, Namgyal Semo Gompa, and Shanti Stupa.
Day 03: Leh - Kargil by surface (210 kms/8 hrs)
This morning you will travel to Kargil and visit Mulbekh village on the way. This village is famous for the 7-meter high rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha. On arrival, you will check-in at the hotel. Kargil is the second major urban center of the Ladakh region and used to be part of the famous silk trade route in ancient times. This merchant center used to be a gateway for traders of silk, brocade carpets, ivory, poppy, tea, and flakes, etc. to enter China, Tibet, Yarkand, and Kashmir. A popular ceremony of archery competition is also held every year during the month of May in Kargil.
Day 04: Kargil
Today you will visit the city of Kargil, the main two scenic spots are Trespone and Sankhoo Imambara which remain the main attraction for tourists. They are constructed by beautiful architecture in Turkish style. Apart from this, Jama Masjid is also an attractive place in Kargil, where crowds of people live. The markets of Kargil are also famous for their distinctive types of merchants. Traders here trade raw sugar, spices, and trinkets, etc. The most important thing in Kargil markets is the high grade dried apricots available there.
Day 05: Kargil - Leh
Today you will travel back to Leh and stop on the way to visit monasteries like Alchi and Likir. The place is believed to be surrounded by two great serpent spirits Nanda and Tasako. These beautiful monasteries have magnificent sculptures and beautiful wood carvings. Apart from this, you will also visit the countryside of Ladakh on the way. After arriving back to Leh, you spend the rest of the time wandering in the local markets and see and shop for unique items found in the special markets here.
Day 06: Leh - Delhi by Flight
This morning you will be transferred to Leh Airport from where you will return to Delhi. From Delhi International Airport, you will be able to fly to your destination. With this, this beautiful tour of the beautiful monastery of the Leh-Ladakh region ends.
